At HomeCookOut.com, we strive to provide our customers with the highest quality homemade food products. Due to the nature of our products, our return policy is designed to ensure the safety and satisfaction of all parties involved, including customers and vendors. Please read this policy carefully to understand your rights and obligations regarding returns.

2. Returnable Items

Unopened Cooked Food: We only accept returns for unopened, cooked food items. The packaging must be intact, and the food must be in its original, sealed condition. The safety seal or any other protective packaging must not be broken or tampered with.

Opened Cooked Food: Food items that have been opened may only be returned if they are spoiled at the time of receipt. The return request for spoiled food must be made within 24 hours of receiving the product, and the product must have been shipped no more than 96 hours prior to the return request.

3. Non-Returnable Items

Due to health and safety regulations, the following items are non-returnable:

  • Any food items that do not meet the conditions outlined in the "Returnable Items" section.
  • Perishable items such as fresh produce, dairy products, and items requiring refrigeration, unless they are spoiled upon receipt as described above.
  • Custom or made-to-order food products.
  • Items marked as non-returnable on the product page.

4. Conditions for Returns

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:

  • The return request must be made within 24 hours of receiving the product.
  • For opened food items, the return request must also be within 96 hours of the product's shipping date.
  • The item must be unused (for unopened returns) and in the same condition as when you received it.
  • The item must be in the original packaging, including all labels, and must be accompanied by the receipt or proof of purchase.
  • For spoiled food, photographic evidence of the spoilage may be required to process the return.

5. Resolving Issues with Sellers

Before contacting HomeCookOut.com for a return or refund, you must first attempt to resolve the issue directly with the seller. Most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication. If you are unable to reach a satisfactory resolution with the seller, you may then contact HomeCookOut.com for further assistance.

6. How to Initiate a Return

If you believe your order qualifies for a return and have attempted to resolve the issue with the seller, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us: Email our customer support team at support@homecookout.com within 24 hours of receiving your order. Please include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return, as well as any communication with the seller regarding the issue.
  2. Return Authorization: Our customer support team will review your request and, if approved, provide you with a Return Authorization Number (RAN) and instructions on how to return the item(s).
  3. Shipping: You are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the return is due to an error on our part (e.g., wrong item shipped) or due to spoilage as described above. We recommend using a trackable shipping method to ensure the safe return of the item(s).

7. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, the refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 7-10 business days.

Please note:

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or due to spoilage as described above.
  • Refunds will only be issued for the cost of the item(s) returned, excluding any original shipping fees.

8. Exchanges

We do not offer exchanges on food items. If you receive a defective, incorrect, or spoiled item, please contact us within 24 hours, and we will arrange for a replacement or a refund as appropriate.

9. Damaged, Spoiled, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, spoiled, or you receive an incorrect item, please contact the seller immediately to resolve the issue. If the issue is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may then contact us at support@homecookout.com. Provide details of the issue, including photos if possible. We will work with you and the seller to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

10. Your Responsibilities

As a customer, you are responsible for:

  • Carefully inspecting your order upon delivery.
  • Storing food items according to the recommended conditions (e.g., refrigeration, freezing) as soon as they are received.
  • Following the proper procedures for returns as outlined above.
